AIRA Co-sponsors Technical Session at 2006 ASME
AIRA co-sponsored a technical session at 2006 ASME International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI) Annual Meeting on Propulsion System Icing. The aircraft industry is expressing an increasing concern regarding in-flight icing incidents occurring at higher altitudes than the recognized upper limit for super-cooled water droplets. These in-flight incidents experienced by both transport and commuter aircraft have resulted in propulsion system power loss and resultant system damage. As a first step in the formulation phase of a potential project, AIRA co-hosted a technical session at the recent ASME/IGTI conference held in Barcelona, Spain.View more information about AIRA's participation in the ASME meeting.
