AIRA - Aircraft Icing Research Alliance

2007 Research Implementation Forum (RIF)

The 2007 Research Implementation Forum (RIF) was held on Monday, January 8 in Reno, NV in conjunction with the AIAA Aerospace Sciences Conference.

Over 50 people attended the four hour session which constituted this 5th annual event. The highlights of the session were the two distinguished lectures by Bob Flemming of Sikorsky Aircraft and Mark Andrews of the U. S. government’s Joint Planning and Development Office (JPDO).

Mr. Flemming’s talk was on the topic of Helicopter Icing Certification while Mr. Andrews’ talk was dealt with the JPDO and Plans related to Improved Aviation Weather Forecasting.
