AIRA Operating Principles
- The Parties plan to collaborate with each other in developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive and integrated aircraft icing research strategic plan.
- The Parties will conduct prioritized, aircraft icing research activities that meet their goals and objectives in this field.
- The Parties will collaborate with each other in research and data exchange consistent with their national laws and regulations.
- The Parties will strive to ensure that resource investments are non-duplicative and are applied in a manner that maximizes the ability to achieve the objectives of an integrated aircraft icing research strategic plan.
- Each Party remains in control of its own assets. There is no obligation or intent for the Parties to pool assets.
- The Parties, through the strategic planning process, intend to identify common interests so as to leverage resources to the maximum extent.
- The Parties will explore new and innovative ways of doing business that can save time and minimize administrative processing.
- Specific research activities will be defined and executed through formal international agreements, where appropriate.
- Parties will coordinate with other participating AIRA members the disclosure of information to the public pertaining to AIRA’s activities prior to public release.
- The activities are undertaken pursuant to each party’s statutory authorities.
